Introduction to basics in Linux (in connection to installing Linux)

Anyone interested in Linux, anyone working with Linux-based systems such as Hadoop.

A basic Linux installation is required (on local laptop, e.g. on VirtualBox or in the cloud, see the Installing Arch Linux course)

Course description

This course enables you to set your first steps with Linux: command prompt, frequently used shortcuts, most important commands, your first Shell Script.

Learning objective

Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to perform the most common tasks from the Linux terminal prompt, including basic shell scripting.
