Course description
This training provides a general introduction into logistic regression as a method for classification. It discusses the difference between linear and logistic regression, the algorithm underlying logistic regression, and some common pitfalls when applying it. It further provides a hands-on application in R, in which participants work through an R script in which they apply the learned concepts to model trial versus settlement outcomes in patent litigation.
Learning objective
Upon completion of this training, participants will understand the intricacies of logistic regression, and will be able to apply it in realistic R scenarios.
